Fortnite Ping - Your Winning Battle Strategy Guide

Fortnite Ping - Your Winning Battle Strategy GuideA couple of weeks ago I was given the opportunity to play Fortnite on PlayStation 3 for some free time and I had no idea what to expect. My initial reaction was not positive. It wasn't until I got my hands on it for a couple of days that I started to appreciate what Fortnite was about. In short, it's a great fun-filled game that you won't want to miss. The thing I love about Fortnite is the gamer mentality that sets it apart from other online games. You're not playing against another person, but instead against a simulated version of yourself, so it's fair to say you're not even in the same league as you would be with a real-life opponent. But when you play online you can compete with or against someone at any time. So, how does this relate to our Fortnite Ping times? Well, since you're playing with or against yourself, the only thing you have to worry about is your timing. And since you're playing against others you are still looking t o beat them at the same time, whether they're online or not.So, in essence, when you're playing online you're working together to outwit and outlast your opponents and in the process your Fortnite Ping times will become noticeably faster than normal. This is because you'll also have to work in conjunction with other players, as well as take advantage of their ping times. The best part is that with Fortnite there's really no need to wait for an opponent to actually make their move before you have an opportunity to get involved. For the most part, your enemy is likely to move very slowly, so that by the time they do move, it's too late for you to make a difference.I have played Fortnite on PS3 for several hours now and while I've seen some latency problems, they seem to be much better than any other online shooter I've played. On the flip side, I've also seen some freezes, which weren't really an issue back when I played with offline friends, but if you're playing online you need to be careful. There are times when it seems like the server will go down and the lag makes the action almost unplayable, but overall I have found the servers to be consistently up and running. So, now we come to another drawback, which is Friendly Fire. The fact that the game is actually set in a battle royale arena makes it a bit more dangerous than other online shooters. As previously mentioned, you will need to master these online multiplayer modes in order to be successful in the competitive modes. These include Domination, King of the Hill, and Capture the Flag. Each of these matches are very fast paced, so you'll need to be aware of your Fortnite Ping times and how to minimize the amount of damage you take during these matches.
